ABIRA group members attend Neuropsychological workshop in Brazil

ABIRA member Dr Niamh Kennedy (Lecturer in rehabilitation Neuroscience in UEA) has won a place on the workshop “Neuropsychological Rehabilitation of People with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)” to be held at the Universidade Federal do Paraná, Brazil in March 2016. This workshop is a node of the Researcher Links programme which is co-funded by the prestigious British Council and Newton Fund.

The workshop will bring together early career researchers from the UK and Brazil and provide opportunities to interact; learn from each other and begin to build long lasting research collaborations. Building these fruitful research collaborations for ground breaking research is the key focus of the workshop.  There will also be the opportunity for early career researchers to present their research and discuss this with research leaders from both UK and Brazil. Participants were selected on the basis of their research potential and ability to build internationally-leading, long-lived research partnerships between the UK and Brazil.

Fellow ABIRA member Dr Andrew Bateman is one of the collaboration founders and will be acting as mentor during the workshop. Niamh and Andrew will feedback on their experience of this workshop upon their return.
